Dr. Shari L. Summers

Dr. Shari is excited to join our team of pediatric dentists at Bergen Pediatric Dentistry. Prior to this opportunity she served the Livingston community for over 35 years. Her private practice was well respected and popular for her gentleness, thorough and patient centered approach.  She recently sold her practice and is thrilled to join our family. Dr. Shari brings years of pediatric dental experience and looking forward to meeting your family. She is well versed with the latest and greatest in pediatric dentistry. She is also an airway trained dentist. She is an airway trained dentist focusing on breathing and sleep disorders. This is very much in alignment with the passions and philosophies of Bergen Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Shari attended the University of Colorado where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business with an emphasis on Accounting. She then attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and completed a Pediatric Dental program at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA.

 

Dr. Shari is a member of numerous local and national dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and New Jersey Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Shari has been honored as a top pediatric dentist in New Jersey Monthly Magazine and nominated as a favorite pediatric dentist in New Jersey Family Magazine since 2011. Dr. Shari has been included in the list of Essex County Top Dentists in the Morris Essex Health & Life Magazine since 2017.

 

In her spare time, Dr. Shari enjoys spending time with family and friends.  She is a huge Broadway fan but do not ask her to sing you a show tune! Dr. Shari's proudest achievements are her daughters.  One daughter lives and works in London for Meta and her other daughter is a child psychologist. Dr. Shari is an enthusiastic cyclist and you might find her driving around town with a bubblegum pink bike rack!
